As you walk out of Kilimanjaro International Airport, your personal Olaitoriani Expeditions guide greets you with a big smile: 'Karibu Tanzania - welcome to Tanzania!' The guide takes you straight to your hotel, where you can relax and take in the African atmosphere. The next day, your guide takes you on an exclusive, private safari that allows you to travel at your own pace. After an early breakfast, we’ll head to Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River, a vital water source for wildlife during the dry season. The park boasts dense vegetation like elephant grass and acacia woodlands, home to elephant families and diverse species like giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. Predators like lions and leopards also roam here. It’s a haven for breeding bird species and is dotted with ancient baobab trees.
Later, we’ll drive to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, we will head towards the Serengeti National Park, leaving the highlands behind. We descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We enjoy a game drive en route to the lodge.

The Empakai Crater is a smaller volcanic caldera located in the northern part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It is relatively less known compared to the more famous Ngorongoro Crater, but it’s still a stunning and unique landscape. The crater is about 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) wide and contains a soda lake at the bottom, which attracts various bird species, including flamingos. The walls of the crater are covered in lush vegetation, making it a beautiful and serene environment.
Empakai Crater is also known for its walking trails that allow visitors to hike down to the crater floor. The hike provides an opportunity to experience the breathtaking views and the diverse ecosystem within the crater. Additionally, the area surrounding the crater is inhabited by wildlife such as buffalo, baboons, and various bird species, enhancing the overall natural experience.
