In the morning you go to Lake Manyara National Park, where the lions climb trees and huge flocks of flamingos. The park presents a combination of landscapes, ranging between acacia woodland and the underground spring fed groundwater forests. When you are driving in the park, you might find the feeding of the elephants under fig trees, the giraffes exploring along the lake side, and the units of baboons crossing the road. This park will be particularly satisfying to birdwatchers and more than 400 species have been observed. Later in the afternoon you head back to Eileen and her Tree Inn in Karatu, a small lodge in the green highlands close to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 3-5: Serengeti National Park

The following three days will be spent in the Serengeti National park which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to the great migration and the incredibly high concentration of wildlife. This trip is initiated by a picturesque drive along the Ngorongoro highlands then onto your first game drive as you head into the vast plains of the Serengeti.

During these days you will trace the beat of the park with early and late drives. In the mornings, they move particularly, when such predators as lions, cheetahs, and leopards are on the move. The open plains feature huge herds of wildebeest and zebras and the kopjes (rocky outcrops) feature resting places of big cats. You may also see elephants, buffaloes and hyenas. It is a sight one cannot forget and during the migration season, thousands of animals moved across the plains.

These nights will be based in Zuri Camp located in the form of tented lodge that will offer you comfort as well as the experience of being in the wilderness. Camp evenings are special and sundowners in the fire and camp stories under the stars are well enjoyed.

One often encounters lions, black rhinos, hippos, wildebeest, a variety of species of antelopes.
